Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 6th because exciting plans are falling into place for the first annual Seminole County Lakeside Festival and Team Bass Tournament. This free to attend event will be held at Reynolds Landing Park on Lake Seminole.

Tournament and festival organizers invite the community to come out for a day of food, fun and fishing. During the tournament outdoor activities, food booths  and arts and craft vendors will be available for festival attendees to enjoy.

Organizers plan for this to become an annual Springtime event.

The team bass tournament will begin at safe daylight and continue until 3 p.m. There is a $200 team entry fee and a three fish limit. The tournament’s first place winner is guaranteed $3,000 and the catcher of the big fish will reel in $500.

The tournament is being organized and directed by
Tommy King, a bass fisherman with sixty years of experience and 47 bass tournament wins. He has competed in tournaments in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee.

For additional information on the tournament or for registration forms contact King at 229-726-0387 or visit www.seminolecountyga.com.

Individuals or organizations wishing to participate in the May 6th event as a food or arts and crafts vendor are asked to call 229-309-3942.

Festival T-Shirt order forms are now available at the Chamber, the County Commissioners’ office and the Donalsonville News.
