Decatur County felony warrant fugitive apprehended in Donalsonville sonville

On August 29th Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received information from Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Investigators that Joey McMillan, wanted on multiple felony warrants from Decatur County, was hiding out in a motel room at the Econolodge located on U..S. Highway 84 in Donalsonville.
Decatur County Investigators met with Seminole County Deputies at the Econolodge property and located McMillan hiding in a room with the door locked. McMillan was called out by officers, and after a short wait, he decided to exit the room and turn himself into law enforcement officials.
After further investigation, it was discovered that the room McMillan was hiding in was reserved by Ruben Mathis and paid for by him.
In addition to prior Decatur County charges McMillan was charged with Obstruction of an Officer. Mathis was charged with a felony count of Hindering Apprehension or Punishment of a Criminal.
Both subjects were transported to and booked into the Seminole County Jail.
