Shotgun raffle to raise funds for Animal Rescue Alliance

The Animal Rescue Alliance is holding a first anniversary fundraising event on Friday, September 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Beall Center located next door to the Donalsonville News on Cherry Street in downtown Donalsonville.

The event  will feature a fundraising auction of products and baskets of items donated by local merchants.

During the auction a CZ, 612 Magnum Waterfowl, Pump Action, 12 Gauge shotgun, valued at $500 and donated by Cannon Armory, will be raffled off to one lucky winner.

The Cannon family has been very supportive of the Animal Rescue Alliance and has adopted one of the shelter’s “longer term” resident dogs.

Raffle tickets for the shotgun are $25 each, and the winning ticket will be drawn at the September 29th event at 7:45 p.m.  Tickets are available from any Animal Rescue Alliance board member, employee, or directly from the shelter during regular business hours.  Tickets will be sold until 7:30 p.m. at the Beall Center the night of the auction.

The Animal Rescue Alliance shelter, a registered 501c3 charity, is located at 2645 Georgia Highway 91, just north of Donalsonville. The shelter is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 10-4 and can be reached by calling 229-992-2039
