Boots and Roots Rodeo set for next weekend
Dust off your boots and get ready for a rip-roaring rodeo and all the thrills and excitement that comes with this annual event. The Donalsonville-Seminole County Boots & Roots Rodeo is now only eight days away.
Save money by purchasing your tickets in advance, mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, and get ready to kick up some dust and experience the return of a professional rodeo right here in Seminole County.
The annual Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Boots & Roots Rodeo will be held again this year at the Seminole Industrial Park East location just east of Donalsonville on Ash Crossing Road.
Advance ticket prices are $12 for ages 13 and over, and $8 for ages six to twelve. Children five and under will be admitted at no charge. If you wait and purchase tickets at the gate the ticket price for adults will be $15 and $10 for children six to twelve.
Tickets are available at the Donalsonville Seminole Chamber of Commerce located at 122 East Second Street in downtown Donalsonville. Tickets are also available at the Donalsonville News, First Port City Bank, and Lake Seminole Outdoors.
Rodeo events will include calf scramble, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, tie down roping, cowgirl barrel racing, bull riding and a diamond dash.
There is still time to sign up and join the rodeo’s sponsorship team. The chamber’s mission in annually staging a quality rodeo event in Seminole County has three objectives: to provide a first class family-oriented event for the enjoyment of the citizens of Seminole County, to salute Seminole County farmers and agri-businesses and to operate as an annual fund raising vehicle. Proceeds from each year’s two-day rodeo event ticket sales finance future community projects of the chamber and a percentage of the profits will be donated to the youth organizations of the community.
Businesses and individuals are invited to become a sponsor at the following levels: Gold Partner – $2,500; Scoreboard Sponsor – $2,000; Silver Partner – $1,000; Chute Gate Partner – $750; Event Partner – $500; Arena Banner Partner – $400; Bleacher Banner Partner – $400, and Friends of the Rodeo -$100.
