Iron City Christmas parade is Saturday

An evening of holiday fun is planned for this Saturday in the town of Iron City for the community’s annual Christmas golf cart Parade and celebration. Food and craft vendors may begin setup at 4:00 p.m. at the Iron City Community Center, and those entering golf carts in the parade will line up there as well, at 4:30 p.m. The carts will be judged and the entry fee is $30.
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., travel down Church Street, turn on to Durham Street, turn on to Broad Street, turn on to Williams Street and end back at the center.
The tree lighting ceremony will follow the parade at 6:15 p.m. The movie “Elf” will be shown at the playground beginning at 6:30 p.m. Pictures with Santa and shopping and eating at Santa’s Workshop will be ongoing during the evening in the community center.
