Tylin Stephens selected as SCMHS Teacher of the Year

Seminole County Middle High School has announced that Tylin Stephens has been selected as the 2025-2026 Seminole County Middle High School Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Stephens is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor’s in Business, and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, and is pursuing an Ed.S in Special Education at Valdosta State University. Certified in Special Education across various levels, she fosters inclusive environments that support all learners.
Tylin began her career as a middle school special education teacher, mastering behavior management and social skill instruction. She later worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Director of Head Start, gaining expertise in counseling and leadership. Now a Special Education Inclusion Teacher, she uses evidence-based strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
An active school community member, Tylin serves on the Impact and Tribunal team and the SCES PTO board. As a mother of three — Katelyn, Konnor, and Kolton — she is driven by her belief in education’s transformative power, striving to inspire and empower every student.
