Ronald Foskey hired as county’s Election Superintendent

The Seminole County Board of Commissioners and Board of Elections is pleased to announce Ronald Foskey has accepted the position of Elections Superintendent.
Seminole County Manager Paula Granger commented, “We are pleased to announce that Mr. Foskey has accepted this position. He brings much knowledge and experience to the county after having served five years as a Poll Manager and working closely with Probate/Magistrate Judge Michael Jon Rogerson to ensure the integrity of past elections. We look forward to a seamless transition.”
Seminole County had been one of eighteen counties that utilized their Probate/Magistrate Judge to manage elections; however, this new position is the result of new legislation requiring the establishment of a Board of Elections for each county rather than a Board of Registrars. Judge Rogerson previously held the position of Elections Supervisor and handled all aspects of voting for Seminole County.
As of January 1, 2025, new legislation required the county change this process and a new Board of Elections and Registration was formed. The Seminole County Board of Commissioners appointed board members Wayne Coachman, Petra Joyner, and Susan Moseley to serve on the newly formed Board of Elections and Registration for four-year terms and they recently conducted interviews for staffing this newly formed Elections office.
Mr. Foskey will be available to assist citizens at the Elections Office located at the Courthouse Annex at 230 Cherry Street on weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The temporary phone number is 229-524-2878.
Foskey has thirty-two years of acquisition experience with the United States Air Force. He earned an Associate of Science degree from Middle Georgia State University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College, a Master of Public Administration degree from Georgia College and a Master of Science degree majoring in National Resource Strategy from Georgia College.
Foskey commented, “I am excited to serve the people of Seminole County as your new Election Supervisor.
We owe a great deal of thanks to the smooth, reliable quality of service provided by Judge Michael Jon Rogerson and Ms. Kristi Wilson. I would hope to provide the same trusted level of performance in executing the duties of Election Supervisor.
“The lynchpin of our democracy is free, fair, safe and secure elections. The holding of elections is a scared trust; I am dedicated to the fulfillment of that trust.
“Election time is right around the corner, and I’d be thrilled to have citizens come forward to become poll workers. If you’d like to participate in this vital part of the election process, please contact me at the courthouse annex, located at 230 Cherry Street, or phone me at 229-524-2878.”
The first election under Foskey’s leadership will be the June 17th Public Service Commissioner (PSC) Special Election. Advance voting will be held from May 27 through June 13, 2025.
