Veterans Day parade, ceremony set for Tuesday morning, November 11th

In honor of Veterans Day, Troop 700 will have a Flag Retirement ceremony
at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11 at the American Legion Post located at 5803 GA-39 south of Donalsonville

Thank a Veteran! Attend the Veterans Day Parade and 10 a.m. Veterans Day ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 11th in downtown Donalsonville
The annual Seminole County Veterans Day Parade is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 11th in downtown Donalsonville. All veterans, officers, enlisted military personnel and family member(s) of servicemen and women currently deployed are encouraged to participate. For all walkers and riders the parade line up will begin at 9:15 on the corner of Second Street and Tennille Avenue, behind First Port City Bank.
Parade Flag Bearers will Milton Smith, George Doyle and Patrick Cofty, Jr. Post 157 Banner Bearers will be Stephen Rolle and Keith Smith.
Second Street businesses are encouraged to show the colors, and groups, churches and individuals are invited to decorate a golf cart or a vehicle, and join the annual salute honoring this community’s veterans. The parade will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. and travel down Second Street beginning at Tennille Avenue and ending at the Courthouse for the 10 a.m. ceremony.
Post #157 Commander Patrick Cofty, Jr. will welcome all and open the ceremony and local Veteran Mark Carr will be the keynote speaker for the event.
Flagpole Honor Guard will include Stephen Rolle, Bobby Glover, and Michael Brock. Wreath Honor Guard will include Wayne Coachman and Payton Horne.
Entertainment will be provided by the Seminole County Elementary School singers under the direction of Joy and Tony Buczek.
